A million thanks to my knights in shining armor who stopped by with much needed help for my del.icio.us issue. Still having issues? Check out this amazing step-by-step post by theory.isthereason. Seriously helpful. I’ll crying about the fact that it was posted on 11/15/05 for another day…

What I believe to be the right information is in what I think are the right spots and hopefully links will appear. Keep your fingers crossed.

Why I do love the blogosphere? Put up the good old SOS and it’s very likely someone will respond.

I’ve also discovered a handy little helper for those of us not coding in our sleep by way of For Immediate Review.

Blogging and Golf: Equally Frustrating

FRUSTRATED. Me in a nut shell today because blogging feels like golf. And, it’s not the amazing “I just shot a hole -in-one” feeling. It’s the “7 strokes on a Par 4 with no good fairway shots and two balls in the water” feeling.

All I want to do is figure out how to create daily links from my del.icio.us account to tangled web.

I know it exists: youjustdon’tgetus and Micro Persuasion. Also, the del.icio.us badge is on Maggie Fox’s Social Media Group Page, but I’ll be damned if I can configure either application for my blog.

My major issue is that I can’t find the following information from my WordPress blog:

  • out_url is the full URL of the XML-RPC interface for your blog, which probably ends in something like mt-xmlrpc.cgi

WHERE DO I FIND THIS?

I will not be defeated – a hole-in-one is in my near future.

Stay tuned…or drop a line if you have insight on this one.

From Agenda Inc.:

Social networking is getting more niche, and more intelligent. Here are three new sites that bring together a sense of creativity and community.

BEHANCE – A creative collaboration site, sharing ideas, portfolios and projects, and ways to “make ideas happen.” (Visit Behance network)

BIG THINK - Big Think is a global marketplace for idea-sharing, billed as a “YouTube for ideas”. It launched this week with interviewees that include Sen. Ted Kennedy, Richard Branson, Naomi Klein, Zac Posen, and master chef Jacques Pepin. (Visit Big Think network)

DOPPLR - “A beautiful and useful tool for intelligent travellers worldwide”, this site was much anticipated at the Le Web 3 conference in Paris this week, and is already growing rapidly. (Visit Dopplr network

    And, we’re off!

After a few false starts, I’ve found it. tangled web represents my third blog attempt (Me and the Mitten, Smitten).

This blog is an extension of my 9-5 life: PR, marketing, web 2.0, social media strategies. But, like most kids my age, my 9-5 isn’t really my 9-5, its my 24-7. By which I mean, I have a job I love that often seeps into my personal life – tirades at the bar about Netvibes, Myspace, Friendster, CSR, tagging, wikis, meme, it goes on all day.

My friends are immune at this point.

tangled web is my public forum to work through emerging technology and new social media tactics as they intersect with PR and communication. I’ll try to infuse as much client insight as I have while pulling from the experts when my own experience won’t suffice.

I’ve been tapping (and lurking) so many good online resources, it is time to contribute as much as I consume.

And you know what they say: The third time is the charm.

    Happy reading and commenting!
